Description:
The events of 9/11 forever shaped our National identity, landscape, and policy. In the days and years directly following this significant event in our history there have been countless works of fiction, creative non-fiction, and poetry published that profoundly and uniquely capture the thoughts, feelings, and emotions associated with those who encountered these events both near and far. For this extra credit assignment I am asking you to identify a work of literature that addresses the events of 9/11 and could be considered Psychological Realism. Remember, that for our purposes, we are not looking for generic news articles or interviews, but rather creative non-fiction narratives, works of fiction, or poetry that centers on one’s thoughts, feelings, and emotions. Once you identify a piece of literature that is appropriate I would like you to address the following questions in a short 5 paragraph essay.
