Is there anything about the book that you find particularly compelling?

This assignment requires you to read ONE book in Political Science (or a closely related field) and write a book review. Your review should do the following: describe the book in sufficient detail, and then develop a critical argument about it. In other words, say something meaningful about the book. In order to describe the book, you need to lay out the general subject and provide the context for the book. Then you should describe the contents – what is addressed and how does each piece fit into the author’s argument? What is the chosen methodology? In the second part of your review, you will present your critical comments. Are you convinced by the author’s argument? Is there anything about the book that you find particularly compelling? Can you find any serious flaws in this book? Are there other ways to study this subject that the author does not consider?
