Assignment 1:
Legal & District Requirements of Supervision – 100 points (Week 3).
The purpose of this assignment will be to understand the legal requirements of the state
and a districts supervision procedures and expectations. Assignment includes the
following:
Locate and read the legal requirements for the supervision of all teachers for the state in-
which the student teaches.There are two links for Minnesota’s requirements for teacher supervision:

These two links above have a lot of information. I have attached two documents that summarizes them up, and makes it easier to read.
-Locate and read the supervision policy, procedures and expectations for all teachers in the
district in which the student teaches. Below is the link to my school’s district policies and procedures. It’s a little confusing because they set it up very into specific sections, but it’s basically all of the information under “Series 400 – Personnel”

-Write a 3 page paper (not counting the title page or References) to synthesize and
summarize this information, explaining how the district procedures represent the legal
requirements.
