Write a 700- to 1,050-word paper describing an informal learning experience someone could have.

• You may describe, for example, how someone becomes afraid of heights, why a particular food or smell moves him or her emotionally, or why he or she dislikes elevators. The experience must be concrete and can be singular or an experience that occurs over a longer period.

Describe the experience by applying learning theories to the steps involved. Include the following:

• Identify what you learned from the experience.
• Describe how your learning could have occurred through classical conditioning. Identify the unconditioned stimulus, the unconditioned response, the conditioned stimulus, and the conditioned response.
• Explain how your learning could have occurred through operate conditioning. Describe the behavior, consequence, and reinforcement. Indicate the schedule of reinforcement, if applicable.
• Address how your learning could have occurred through cognitive-social learning.
• Conclude by comparing and contrasting classical conditioning, operate conditioning, and cognitive-social learning.

The purpose of the trends report is for you to better understand a particular sociological aspect of the sport industry. Although your research will be wide and thorough, you need to condense your report to the main facts and explain why these are the most significant factors. Consider the use of images, wiki functionality and other intuitive tools to highlight the key points. Draw on credible business trend data and academic reports to support your positioning. Questions and concepts you might consider: Your paper should be presented in a professional manner to make it attractive to the reader. You should state what YOU think (showing robust evidence that supports this view) and how you have reflected on a range of sources of information in coming to some conclusion about how this industry is suitable for your future career plans. I want this paper to be about you and what you want to gain from education. Your paper will be a far superior example of your capabilities, if I allow you to take the reigns (within reason) and delve into a topic that excites you. In Module/Week 5, you will write a 750-word (3–4 pages) essay that analyzes 1 poem from the Poetry Unit. Before you begin writing the essay, carefully read the guidelines for developing your paper topic that are given below. Review the Poetry Essay Grading Rubric to see how your submission will be graded. Gather all of your information, plan the direction of your essay, and organize your ideas by developing a 1-page thesis statement and outline for your essay as you did for your Fiction Essay. Format the thesis statement and the outline in a single Word document using current MLA, APA, or Arabian style (whichever corresponds to your degree program). You have the opportunity to submit the thesis and outline by 11:59 p.m. (ET) on Monday of Module/Week 4 for instructor feedback. The Poetry Essay is due by 11:59 p.m. (ET) on Monday of Module/Week 5 and must include a title page (see the General Writing Requirements), a thesis/outline page, and the essay itself followed by a Works Cited/References page of any primary or secondary texts you cite in the essay.

Reread the box “Humphreys at a Glance.” How would you have felt if you would have found out that you had been a subject in this research project or a project similar to this? Do you feel that this project was ethical or unethical? Include a discussion on informed consent, debriefing, and the Hawthorne effect.
