This assignment consists of two (2) parts: a project schedule, and a written response. You must submit both parts as separate files for the completion of this assignment. Label each file name according to the part of the assignment it is written for.

Part A: Project Schedule

(Submit as one [1] Microsoft Project file)

1. Create a multi-level work breakdown structure (WBS) and detailed project schedule, using the information from the “Greendale Stadium Case” located at the end of Chapter 6, and incorporating the following constraints.

   Note:When you create your MS Project schedule, you will need to update your project per the following constraints:

   • The project must consist of at least twenty (20) tasks.
   • Each task must have a start and finish date that matches the duration noted in the assignment.
   • Each task must be assigned to a resource (e.g., Demolishing Crew; Construction Crew; Landscaping Crew).
   • Assume that the crew works during normal weekdays (no weekend work) under normal conditions (8 hours per day).
   • In terms of holidays, you can assume no work will be done the following days: New Year’s Day, President’s Day, Good Friday, Good Monday, Friday before Memorial Day, Memorial Day, the business day before Independence Day, Independence Day, the Friday before Labor Day, Labor Day, the day before Thanksgiving Day, Thanksgiving Day, Black Friday (day after Thanksgiving), the business day before Christmas, Christmas Day, the business day after Christmas Day, and New Year’s Eve.

Part B: Written Response

(Submit as a Microsoft Word file)

1. Respond to the following questions in a one to two (1-2) page paper based on your project schedule.
   • When will the project be completed?
   • What is the critical path for the project?
   • How much slack / float is in your project? What activities have the greatest slack / float?
   • Identify the top three (3) activities that you believe could impact the project completion date.
   • What additional activities you would add to this project to make it more complete, from a project management viewpoint?
2. Format your assignment according to the following formatting requirements:
   • Typed, double spaced, using Times New Roman font (size 12), with one-inch margins on all sides.
   • Include a cover page containing the title of the assignment, the student’s name, the professor’s name, the course title, and the date. The cover page is not included in the required page length.

Why not have State governments levy tariffs on imports, or tax other states’ products.  Would this be a sensible way to raise revenues?  What are the advantages/disadvantages?  Provide research support for your positions.  Respond to at least two of your fellow students’ postings.

Read the case study, “I Thought I Gave Them Everything,” starting on page 445 in the textbook. This case study involves interpersonal and interpersonal communication competencies. Examine and evaluate this communication situation by providing detailed responses to the three discussion questions found at the end of the case study.

The criminal justice system is an ever-changing world of social stewardship and public order. While its overall goal of justice remains, its day to day operations are impacted by a multitude of forces including policy, discretion, and public opinion to name a few. As a result, the criminal justice system has witnessed trends, celebrated milestones, and overcome many of the challenges set before it. However, many challenges still remain.

Research Topic:

1. Identify the biggest challenge facing the criminal justice system in the future.

2. Explain the impact of this challenge as it relates to the three components of the criminal justice system.

3. Locate six scholarly works to justify your position.

Read Johnson Chapter 10 (p211- 230). The chapter describes multiple techniques for using textbooks in social studies. On the bottom of page 225 six specific strategies for developing students’ vocabulary are listed. Choose one of the techniques, summarize it, then create a specific social studies learning activity using it. Describe both the technique and activity in detail.

For this assignment, go to the “Description and Status of Current Issues” page of the Financial Accounting Standards Board’s (FASB) Emerging Issues Task Force (EITF) Website, located at http://www.fasb.org/jsp/FASB/Page/SectionPage&cid=1218220137528. Select a current issue that interests you, and identify it for the assignment.

Write a six to eight (6-8) page paper in which you:

1. Research the most important impact that the mission of the Emerging Issues Task Force (EITF) exerts upon the Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB). Analyze the EITF’s effectiveness with finding resolutions to emerging accounting issues, and make at least two (2) recommendations as to how they could improve their effectiveness. Justify your recommendations.
2. Research the issue you selected from the EITF’s “Description and Status of Current Issues” page, and analyze at least two (2) key areas being addressed by the EITF.
3. Analyze the primary manner in which a company’s accounting and financial reporting is likely to be impacted by the work being done by the EITF on the chosen issue, and make at least two (2) recommendations as to the manner in which the EITF could improve a company’s accounting and financial reporting.
4. Create an argument either in favor or against the EITF recommendation(s) on the issue that you have selected. Provide support for your argument.
5. Analyze the different accounting treatments between GAAP and IFRS for the issue that you have selected, and make at least two (2) recommendations that would have a positive impact on the differences between treatments.
6. Predict the roles that the EITF and FASB would play, should the accounting profession adopt one (1) global set of accounting standards.
7. Use at least three (3) quality academic resources in this assignment. Note: Wikipedia and other Websites do not qualify as academic resources.

Write a 700- to 1,050-word paper, describing the challenges facing India as its population grows beyond 1 billion. Is this a new problem? How has India dealt with population issues in the past? What are they doing now? Is the rise in the Indian economy making the situation better or worse?
